overVIew

People from all walks of life have found my gentle, holistic and intuitive coaching style has helped them to tap into who they are, and where they are strongest. I believe that we have many of the answers that we seek already in place, however we lose our focus with the onslaught of constant stimulation and lives that are often too busy.  We become distracted, and overwhelmed from the outside world and over time, we lose sight of ourselves. Partnering with my clients to help them get back in touch with their own unique profile is what I do best. When I help my clients find clarity, they become energized and excited about future possibilities.  Through this process they move forward and I inspire and motivate them providing accountability to keep them on track.
If you are ready to make an intentional shift in your life toward positive change, I am here to be your guide and cheerleader. I offer private sessions by phone, and Zoom.  In person sessions and workshops will be available at a future date.

  • iEQ9 Enneagram Assessment

  • Strengths Finder

  • Strong Campbell Interest Inventory

  • Creative exercises for self- exploration.

Workshops, Groups & Teams

I created and facilitated Moms in Transition, and co-created the Now What? Program, both focusing on women who are at a crossroads in their lives. Many are considering re-entering the paid working world, or are already working outside of the home and seeking a better life and work balance.  Others are facing an empty nest, and may be considering returning to school or volunteering in personal meaningful ways.

Recently I created and facilitated Enneagram workshops for groups and teams in business. I am credentialed with iEQ9, the premiere Enneagram report that is frequently used in organizations for team collaboration, development and transformation.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

+ Do you have an orientation that you use in your work?

I get this question a LOT. I am trained as a therapist a career counselor and a life coach. I have the ability to pull from all of these learnings, which is helpful.

Therapy is often past oriented. Helping clients to identify what might be holding them back, from subconscious sabotaging messaging from as early as childhood to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from the work place! My focus is on normal life transitions, so I don’t work with treating mental illness. I do however work with clients who are struggling with low self-esteem issues, fear of change, and basic overwhelm.

Career Counseling is assessment oriented, and I do use assessments. My favorites are the Myers Briggs, Strong Campbell, and the iEQ9-(Enneagram). Assessments can be very helpful in organizing thoughts.

Life Coaching is future oriented, and I partner with my clients to co-create easy to follow and doable plans so they can move forward and act. I have studied Positive Psychology and find the science of happiness, practical and inspiring and thread it into my work whenever I can. We tend to focus on what we can’t do, so I can help clients to identify what they do well. Developing new neuro-pathways toward positivity is a game changer.

+ Is there a process to how you do your work?

I am holistic in how I work with clients. Our mind, body and spirit are inner connected and to move forward we need to consider the whole being. Most clients will have many of the answers they are seeking, but they are confused on how to even start, or what questions to ask themselves. They may come to me thinking that it is one area of their life that is challenging, and we discover that it is connected to other pieces of their life too.

+ How long does it take?

It depends. Some people have a few sessions and they have an “aha” moment and move into their next steps quickly. Others take longer. I have also had clients that have a few sessions, go off and see what they can do, and then circle back for support. We all have our own pace, and are motivated differently.

+ Do people really change?

Yes! I see people make positive change in their life and in their work. From the stay at home mom who felt she was too old to go to graduate school, and has now become an urban planner for children’s playgrounds, to the construction worker who had dreamed of being a pilot, and is now flying for U.P.S.

Beyond the world of work, I have successfully helped clients who had personal goals in mind, from establishing a health and wellness plan, to learning how to set up their environment to thrive. Regardless of the goal or the path, change is possible, but it is not easy.

What tends to tip the process toward a more favorable direction, is when clients get excited about who they are, and then work with that, rather than trying to fit into a life and a role that does not fit. Additionally, I introduce the science behind Positive Psychology. When we adapt how we see ourselves in a strength based and positive way, we re-path our brains. I teach my clients easy strategies that create a growth mindset, and tools and rituals that are key in maintaining an environment where change is more likely to happen.
