Linda is wonderful! I highly recommend her! A friend of mine introduced me to Linda when I was facing a big decision in my career. From our first meeting, I could tell that she “got” me and I left our first session with a lot more clarity. She is great at listening, asking the right questions, making suggestions and then giving clear steps to move forward. When I feel overwhelmed and torn between choices, Linda helps me think through each option and then figure out what the best decision is for me. She has been incredibly helpful for me and although I think just a few sessions would have been all I “needed”, I have continued to meet with her to discuss my career and life goals.

Linda is on my daily gratitude list. Really. Approximately 7 years ago, I attended one of her career workshops, which was very helpful and educational. In just that one event I learned many things about myself. I continued to meet with her on an individual basis. She was pivotal in helping me to think of ways, as well as find the courage to turn what I love most into a successful business. As my business has continued to grow and succeed over the years, Linda has been just as excited as I am about the whole thing. Linda is very intuitive, caring, highly intelligent, enthusiastic and motivating, as well as an excellent listener. Those characteristics are just a part of what makes her an exceptional career and life coach. She helped point me in the right direction and still encourages me every step of the way. Priceless.

I recently finished Linda’s “Mom’s in Transition” workshop. I have been a stay at home mom for almost 18 years, and the thought of re-entering the ‘paid’ workforce has been intimidating, to say the least. I really did not know what to expect from Linda’s workshop, but I figured it could be a good place to start for someone in my situation. It was an AMAZING experience, and the best money I have spent on myself in a really long time! Linda is a vibrant and warm individual, who truly cares about who you are, and where you are in your life. Her approach to career counseling is outstanding! Through various assessments, I came away with a better understanding of my personality, skills, strengths, values, and interests. I feel like I have a complete understanding of who I am as a person and what I can offer to the paid working world. I have a new found confidence that did not exist 5 weeks ago! Another perk to the workshop was meeting three other fantastic moms, who were also struggling with the idea of ‘what to do next’?! We had such an amazing experience, that we did not want our workshop to end!

I just completed Linda’s “Mom’s in Transition” workshop and I didn’t want it to end. After being a stay at home mom for 10 years I didn’t know how to get the confidence I needed to return to work and I didn’t know where to start. Linda’s workshop was amazing! I looked forward to going every week and I learned so much about myself. Linda’s process of self reflection and group sharing was incredible. I left the workshop knowing what my next steps were and I have many helpful ways of thinking about the job search process that will enable me to stay on track. Linda has a wonderful way of connecting with lots of different people and helping them to shift their perspective to focus on their strengths - incredibly helpful!

Linda’s “Mama’s in Transition” workshop was well worth the time and money spent! I have been working very part time but mostly bringing up two kids over the past 9 years. During this time I lost sight of who I was before becoming a mom. Linda helped bring that back into focus! She was great in setting a tone for the workshop that was caring, supportive, informative and met the needs of each individual mom in the group. All group members came from such different work and life experiences and Linda skillfully managed to help every single one of us gain insight into our interests, strengths, values and skills and get us on track to finding a fulfilling work life. I highly recommend this workshop should you find yourself in a big life transition!
Working with Linda was exactly what I needed to go from zero to job search success in a very short amount of time. When I enrolled in one of Linda’s workshops I was new to the Bay Area with an 8 year stay-at-home-mom gap in my resume. I had no momentum, a lot of uncertainty, and I felt completely lost as to how to transition back to work. Linda helped me clarify my needs, strengths, and goals, and provided accountability and guidance as I put together a plan to return to work. With Linda’s help I was able to hone in on what it was that I enjoyed about my career before taking time away to raise my young family. Once I could clearly articulate what I was looking for, my momentum built and I was able to begin making the connections that very quickly led me to the right job. Linda was an essential part of the process for me not only in terms of carrying out a strategy, but as a means of releasing some of the fears and insecurities that were holding me back. I highly recommend working with Linda.

I turned to Linda after having found impressive reviews of her career workshops on Yelp. At the time, I was miserable in my current job and desperately needed to transition—to what, I didn’t know, but I needed guidance and Linda was the perfect person to help me. Not only did she help me discover the reasons why my job was not a good fit, but she helped me build the confidence I needed to present my best self to future employers. I cannot stress how important it is to feel confident when changing careers. I would never have gotten my foot in the door in a new industry had I not gone through this process with her. Through personality tests and self exploration, we both discovered how I would be better suited for certain types of jobs. And through her coaching, I found ways to relate all of my experience to new work so that I could better articulate my background and interest in new jobs. I also greatly trusted Linda because she wasn’t interested in getting me to meet with her on a regular basis. She only wanted to see me after I had met the goals we agreed upon. This gave me a sense of momentum that I wouldn’t have had on my own. As another reviewer has said, Linda doesn’t have a ‘magic wand,’ but she has a wealth of career counseling experience and industry expertise to help her clients gain perspective, confidence and direction. I would never have made the leap and found such an amazing job had it not been for her.

Linda has been absolutely integral during a time of big transition in my life. I met with a bunch of career counselors prior to Linda, and I found Linda’s wholesome perspective to be unique and hugely helpful. On top of the many “aha” moments I’ve had talking with Linda, she is also very kind and patient.. it is clear that she cares a ton about her clients. I would recommend Linda to anyone who is feeling stuck in any area of their life.

I had met with a lot of career counselors before finally discovering Linda. I had lost hope, I was worried that no one understood what I was going through or how to find that inner voice inside me that needed to be listened to. When I met with other career counselors, I did not feel like they were actually hearing what I was saying but instead just trying to get me to find any job. Linda is very unique in that she is able to listen, motivate, reinvigorate, provide guidance, and follows up to see how you are doing. Linda understands that a career affects ALL aspects of life and that was very important to me as her holistic approach provided me with the strength and wisdom to make the changes for a much happier life. I am one of those people that tries to find the best in the industry and once I find them I stick with them. I am so grateful that I found Linda as she is truly the best there is.

I couldn’t ask for a better career counselor or mentor than Linda! I came to her during a time of major transition in my life, and she helped me organize my thoughts and put a plan in action. She is warm, intuitive and knows exactly how to encourage and support her clients while also pushing them to be better and to take real action steps in their career. She made recommendations for me that have proven invaluable, and I can’t say enough good things about my time spent in session with her. I highly recommend Linda and her services!

Linda really helped me to evaluate what I was really looking for in my career in life and provided impetus to get out there instead of procrastinating! And I got a great new job andLinda’s input was significant in me starting that process. She is very easy to talk to but gets to the point - if you are stuck in career rut it is well worth the money to get advice from Linda.

Linda was recommended to me by a friend who had attended one of her workshops. I was stuck in a job that was making me miserable and wasn’t sure what my next step should be and knew I needed help figuring it all out. I went to Linda for one-on-one career counseling. She immediately dialed in on the reasons I was so unhappy. The work I was doing was a terrible fit for my personality. Through various tests and assessments, recommended reading, and lots of conversation, together we determined what types of jobs and fields would be suitable for me. While she didn’t exactly wave a magic wand and assign to me the one perfect career, she did help me to narrow my focus. I still don’t have all of the answers, but with her encouragement, I did change jobs. Another job-change later, I am working somewhere that ticks off many of the boxes on my checklist. I am SO much happier, have much more resposibility, and am making quite a bit more money. I value the guidance I received from Linda and recommend her services without reservation. I found her to be bubbly, personable, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. I also appreciated that she wasn’t pushy about scheduling more sessions. I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth from her services.

I completed Linda Lesem’s “Moms in Transition” workshop in late 2010 and it was the perfect way to begin my reentry into the paid workforce. Working with Linda provided me with a wealth of useful information and tangible tools at my disposal. Not only was I able to launch my job search, but I am confident I will create the career path of my dreams. Thank you, Linda, for helping me tap into my gifts and my own inspiration. Working with you has been an invaluable experience.

Linda Lesem is the consummate Career Counselor. She’s passionate, encouraging and supportive and goes above and beyond for her clients. Linda is extremely intuitive and has an innate ability to zero in on the essence of an individual to determine what might be blocking their ability to move forward in their life and career. I am in the career services industry and Linda is my go to person when I need to gain perspective. Recently I experienced a problem at work, which was causing me to doubt myself. Linda was able to help me reframe the entire situation by suggesting alternative scenarios that never even occurred to me. Her suggestion was right on the mark and freed me to make peace with the situation in order to move on. Linda has this rare combination of professionalism, warmth and authenticity and it shows up in every conversation I have with her. After our conversations I always feel empowered and inspired. Linda’s guidance and insights are invaluable and have made a huge difference in my life. If you are looking for someone that is genuinely committed to your success, Linda Lesem is a perfect match.
